I Am Plaid You Like It

Mixng patterns can be a lot of fun for those of us who have reached an age where fashion rules don't matter anymore. What matters most is how you feel about yourself, not the opinions of others. When you are over fifty, you finally start to grow into your own skin, even stretching it out some, haha! It's all good. We are going to do this age thing as gracefully as possible.

I don't know what it is, maybe the Scottish ancestry on my mom's side, or years of wearing Catholic school plaid uniforms, but I just Love PLAID. Every decade or so (there's not typically a lot of plaid options, so I have to wait!), I find something plaid I HAVE to buy. These cute plaid pants were found at Tjmaxx

The polka-dot cardigan sweater is from Marshalls. I don't remember where the scarf came from but it was interesting mixing the patterns up.

During the mid-century years, it was much more common to find plaid fashion choices. In the 1960's you had the mod look of the Pendleton plaids. The 70's brought us some far-out and funky plaid styles. I love it all!

Let me know if you love plaid, and enjoy mixing your patterns, too!
